Straight off of their PBS special, these four gentlemen have been the voices appearing alongside the legendary Frankie Valli for the last decade. Hand-picked to tour the world with the rock and roll legend, Valli knew instantly that the vocal blend of these four highly accomplished singers was uniquely beautiful in a dramatic and striking way. Not since the sounds of the Four Seasons or the Bee Gees has there been a group with this much vocal chemistry. Individually, Landon Beard, Todd Fournier and brothers Brian and Brandon Brigham have extensive Broadway, television and film credits. The most performed opera in the United States, Madama Butterfly is one of opera’s most enduring tales of unrequited love. Audiences never seem to get tired of her, and opera companies could not survive without her.  The entire opera is set from the point of view of the title character, Cio Cio San, who falls in love with American naval officer Pinkerton. Enduring both shame and sorrow, she decides to take destiny into her own hands--leading to one of the most devastating and legendary final scenes in all of opera.  The drama, accompanied by Puccini’s emotionally charged musical score, portrays the dangers of misguided love, and a brave pursuit of a better life.  Fully staged production with orchestra.

These young cantors, all rising stars in the American Jewish music scene, are brought together for a concert of Jewish sacred and secular music. The New York Cantors, all serving synagogues in New York, are: Brooklyn- born Yaakov (Yanky) Lemmer, Head Cantor of the Lincoln Square Synagogue in New York City; Netanel Hershtik, Cantor at The Hampton Synagogue, Westhampton Beach, New York; and Chaim Dovid Berson, chief cantor at the prestigious Kehilath Jeshurun Synagogue on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Some of the most beautiful songs in the Jewish musical history are prayers sung by cantors during shabbat services. For this concert these ancient songs have been given splendid new arrangements by the accomplished Dutch composer/arranger Bob Zimmerman. The program also includes favorite secular songs evoking memories of Jewish tradition and its rich musical culture, as well as music with a nod to Broadway. The New York Cantors concert reprises an earlier project for PBS in The Portuguese Synagogue, Cantors, A Faith in Song. That ground-breaking recording became a popular staple of PBS station programming following its premiere in 2003.
