The most performed opera in the United States, Madama Butterfly is one of opera’s most enduring tales of unrequited love. Audiences never seem to get tired of her, and opera companies could not survive without her.  The entire opera is set from the point of view of the title character, Cio Cio San, who falls in love with American naval officer Pinkerton. Enduring both shame and sorrow, she decides to take destiny into her own hands--leading to one of the most devastating and legendary final scenes in all of opera.  The drama, accompanied by Puccini’s emotionally charged musical score, portrays the dangers of misguided love, and a brave pursuit of a better life.  Fully staged production with orchestra.

Scott Bradlee’s Post Modern Jukebox

When New York City pianist Scott Bradlee created Postmodern Jukebox out of a basement in Queens in 2011, his goal was simple: to remake the pop hits of today into the classic sounds of the legends of yesterday. Miley Cyrus became The Platters. Bruno Mars became Frank Sinatra. The Spice Girls became The Andrews Sisters. Guns ’n’ Roses became Bessie Smith.

Now, nearly a decade later, Postmodern Jukebox has grown to become a pop culture mainstay in its own right, having played over a thousand shows on six continents worldwide — including acclaimed venues like Radio City Music Hall, Sydney Opera House, and Red Rocks Amphitheater. In the process, PMJ has introduced audiences to many of the world’s greatest singers, dancers, and instrumentalists — many of whom have gone on to become stars in their own right. One part celebration of vintage music and culture, one part “’Saturday Night Live’ for singers”, a Postmodern Jukebox show is an unforgettable trip back in time that makes Pop Music History.

Over the course of their forty-plus year career together, entertainers Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gormé left an indelible impression on popular music in America. Although each an accomplished vocalist in their own right, they are most widely recognized for their duets. Steve and Eydie were the recipients of many professional honors, including multiple Emmy and Grammy Awards. Celebrating the music of Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gormé, with songs like This Could Be The Start Of Something Big, Besame Mucho, Sentimental Journey, Our Love Is Here To Stay, is their son David Lawrence, and Tony Award winner Debbie Gravitte!
